The BMF is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering unity, protecting rights, and providing professional shelter for the musician community in Bangladesh. We support everyone from vocalists to instrumentalists e.g., keyboard player, Guitar player, Drummer, Octapad player), by creating opportunities and ensuring artist welfare.
Our core focus is to provide a safety net for local musicians, assist in securing domestic and international stage and television opportunities, handle dispute resolutions within the community, and elevate the standard of the local music industry.
Membership is open to all professional musicians, session instrumentalists,across Bangladesh who actively work in the industry or are enlisted in media platforms and citizen of Bangladesh also.

Absolutely. Members are encouraged to keep their profiles updated with recent career milestones, award recognitions, or changes in instrumental specialties. To update your profile or biography, please reach out directly to the office of the Publicity Editor.
Elections for the Executive Committee—including vital positions like the Finance Secretary and Publicity Editor—are held every two years in accordance with our organizational bylaws.
Eligible members in good standing (with all dues cleared) can collect nomination papers during the announced election window. Every candidate will be assigned a unique candidate ID (such as ID Ta-10) for official campaigning.
Only "General Members" who have fully cleared their monthly or annual membership dues with the Finance Secretary up to the election month are eligible to cast their votes.
Yes. BMF charges a minimal [monthly Tk.100/=] subscription fee. These fees directly fund our administrative costs and contribute to our musician welfare programs.
As a registered non-profit, 100% of our collected dues and external donations are used transparently. Funds are allocated for emergency health support for aging or ill musicians, legal aid in copyright disputes, and managing organizational infrastructure. Detailed financial reports are maintained by the Finance Secretary.
Members facing medical emergencies or severe financial hardship can submit a formal application detailing their situation to the Executive Committee. Applications are fast-tracked and reviewed confidentially.
No. Your contact numbers, physical addresses, and sensitive financial records are kept strictly confidential under our Privacy Policy. Only your professional musical bio, instrument specialties, and public photos will be featured in our official directory to help you secure work.
The BMF expects professional ethics from all members. If a member brings the foundation into disrepute, engages in financial fraud, or publicly defames fellow artists, the Executive Committee will hold a fair hearing. Consequences can range from a formal warning to temporary suspension or permanent expulsion.
