Terms and Conditions: Bangladesh Musicians Foundation (BMF)
1. Membership Eligibility & Code of Conduct
- Eligibility: Membership is open to professional musicians, instrumentalists, and music industry professionals who are citizen of Bangladesh & support the mission of the BMF.
- Professionalism: Members must maintain a standard of professional ethics. Any action that brings the Foundation into disrepute, including financial misconduct or public defamation of fellow members, may lead to membership suspension.
- Non-Discrimination: All members are entitled to equal treatment regardless of their instrument specialty, genre, or tenure in the industry.
2. Organizational Governance
- Leadership Roles: Elected officials, such as the Publicity Editor, Finance Secretary, and others, must fulfill their duties as outlined in the foundation’s bylaws.
- Elections: All campaign materials and posters must adhere to the Foundation’s branding guidelines. Candidates must use their assigned ID (e.g., ID Ta-10) for all official election correspondence.
- Representation: Only authorized members of the Executive Committee may issue public statements or enter into legal contracts on behalf of the BMF.
3. Intellectual Property & Branding
- Symbolic Assets: The BMF logo and symbolic imagery (including artwork representing "shelter for the community") are the exclusive property of the Foundation.
- Publicity: Biographical articles or professional profiles created by or for the BMF for television-enlisted performers or stage artists remain the property of the member but may be used by the BMF for promotional and archival purposes.
4. Financial Policies
- Membership Fees: Monthly or annual dues must be paid to the Finance Secretary. Failure to maintain "Good Standing" through dues payment may result in the loss of voting rights during elections.
- Transparency: All funds collected shall be used exclusively for the welfare of the musician community, including health support, legal aid, and the promotion of live and recorded music.
5. Benefits & Welfare
- Professional Support: The BMF aims to provide a "shelter" for musicians, offering assistance in navigating domestic and international stage opportunities.
- Dispute Resolution: Any conflicts between members or regarding Foundation leadership should be mediated internally by the Executive Committee before seeking external legal or public intervention.
